This video is from hole number 11 on Midtsjælland’s Golf Course and shows how data from the course and real-time 3D graphics can visualise golf courses. The video is made by Sunday Studio and is also the visionary bar of the ongoing collaboration between the Alexandra Institute's Computer Graphics Lab and Ingenium Golf.
Via the InnoBooster scheme, Ingenium Golf currently gets help to improve the graphics of their digital course guides. It is a part of their overall web platform that is designed to make the workday easier in the golf club.
It was precisely the institute’s cutting edge expertise within real-time visualisation and interaction with large amounts of data, regardless of platform, that made Ingenium Golf choose the Alexandra Institute - read more about the collaboration here.
Advanced interactive 3D graphics is not only obvious to use for digital course guides.
Wind turbines, expansion of motorway systems and data on local areas are other likely candidates where it is obvious to make interactive 3D graphics or photorealistic visualisations. So if you have a project and need a partner with solid experience within 3D graphics and large amounts of data, please contact lab manager Jesper Mosegaard from Computer Graphics Lab at the Alexandra Institute.
