How to design secure identity solutions for mobile devices

The Alexandra Institute publishes ‘Whitepaper on identity solutions for mobile devices’ that describes some of the software and hardware to be used for developing secure and user-friendly apps.

In recent years, mobile devices have undergone a huge transformation. From being simple mobile versions of conventional fixed-line phones, they are now modern smartphones that come with all kinds of apps and numerous possibilities.

Some apps require secure management of data and user identity information. This is for example the case with MobilePay, mobile banking solutions, mobile payment in supermarkets, etc.

Whitepaper on identity solutions for mobile devices describes some of the software and hardware to be used for developing secure and user-friendly apps. This includes for example encryption algorithms for data protection and NFC chips for secure communication with card readers.

The target group is developers interested in developing an app that is able to manage data and identity in a secure manner, explains the author of the whitepaper, Jonas Lindstrøm, Cryptography Engineer at the Alexandra Institute’s Security Lab
