Tore Kasper Frederiksen

Senior Cryptography Engineer, PhD / Security Lab

Tore Frederiksen

The focal point of Tore’s research is secure multi-party computation (SMC) from an application-oriented and theoretical perspective, as well as other topics relating to cryptology and security. SMC is a technology that enables two or more parties to jointly compute on data while the data is encrypted.

Tore contributes to demonstrating that highly advanced cryptology is indeed relevant to companies as it enables them to collaborate (securely) in new ways. This is useful in for example benchmarking and online auctions.

Tore has a PhD in computer science from Aarhus University, specialised in secure multi-party computation. He did a postdoc at Bar Ilan University in Israel where he was involved in research in SMC and public-key technologies. He has previously held a position as software developer at Cryptomathic where he developed various cryptographic products.
