Suzan Tugcu

Anthropologist / People, Technology and Business Lab

Suzan Tugcu

User participation is key element in Suzan’s work as an anthropologist. She contributes to cross-disciplinary projects where she uses well-proven ethnographic methods to identify user behaviour, attitudes and everyday practices.

Making anthropological knowledge useful to practitioners is crucial – regardless of the context. The fields may be as different as user involvement in digital communication in museums, integration or urban development. Suzan is interested in exploring how to create knowledge about and with the users and how to develop innovative results during the process.

Based on these results, Suzan provides concrete recommendations and consultancy services. The target groups are public and private organisations that are undergoing a change process or want to develop new technology or services with a user-centred focus.

Suzan has an MA in anthropology from the University of Copenhagen and has many years’ experience of qualitative fieldwork and analyses, project management and knowledge dissemination. In addition, she is a member of the Danish national corps of examiners in anthropology.
