Kaj Grønbæk

Kaj works as Distinguished scientific advisor for the Alexandra Institute’s Interactive Spaces Lab and he is furthermore Head and professor of the Department of Computer Science, Aarhus University.

His research activities are primarily conducted in the Interactive Spaces area. He is a work package leader in the centre for big data analytics driven innovation, DABAI, supported by Innovation Fund Denmark. He is also a work package leader in the Industry 4.0 related projects MADE and MADE Digital, also supported by the Innovation Fund Denmark.

In 2003 he was the initiator of the establishment of the Interactive Spaces field - first through an interdisciplinary research centre between Aarhus University and Aarhus School of Architecture in 2003 and later at the Alexandra Institute from 2005 and onwards.

Kaj holds a Master’s degree in computer science from Aarhus University in 1988 and a PhD degree from 1991. You can also visit his website at the Department of Computer Science.
