Jakob has extensive experience in complex computer science problems, and his ability to understand a problem from different field and provide an optimal technical solution means that he is often included in interdisciplinary teams consisting of experts from both science and arts.
He has developed software for optimizing complex tasks in route planning, smartphone applications, interactive games for physical training, and he has furthermore built and programmed several complex robots. In 2015, he published the book about robots “Robotterne iblandt os” together with Søren Tranberg Hansen.
Jakob conveys his knowledge in terms of teaching, at research conferences, by interviews on the radio and in newspapers, articles in scientific journals and popular science magazines.
Jakob holds a master's degree in computer science from Aarhus University with a minor in mathematics. His PhD dissertation in computer science focuses on algorithms for controlling autonomous robots.
