Computer Vision and Simulation Specialist / Visual Computing Lab

Fredrik Dalland Holsten

Having completed a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum and Process Technology and a year of computer science studies at the University of Bergen, Fredrik went to the University of Copenhagen to obtain a Master’s degree in Computer Science. Here he specialised in computer vision and modelling. He wrote his thesis on how to use data-driven models to control soft robots.

At the Alexandra Institute, Fredrik has worked with e.g. drones, robots and augmented reality. He participates in the project Artificial intelligence for the creative industry, which aims to help the creative industry produce high-quality content more efficiently.

Fredrik chose to work with us because he had heard about some of the exciting projects we work on. Prototype development requires both creativity and logical thinking, which he likes.
